We are pleased to announce that we are able to provide the following ex-military vehicles for film use with driver or special event:
1964 International Acco MK 3 4×4 2.5 Ton GS Cargo Truck
Original Australian Army Registration 170-825 – Retired from military service 16/07/1984
This particular vehicle has a fantastic history and was the subject of an ABC Countrywide program in the late 1980’s.
Owned and driven by the late Mr William “Billy” Baird OAM between Hay and Ivanhoe NSW when the roads were no better than muddy tracks, this vehicle performed well beyond the call of any normal military duty and is indeed a testament to those men and women of the 1950’s who designed and built such capable vehicles.
It is our great pleasure to make this historic vehicle available for your special day, movie set or commemorative event and we are sure that its unique history shall be of great interest to all.
Please enjoy the following You Tube link, with recognition and thanks to the ABC, that depicts the vehicle, Mr Baird himself and that state of NSW roads of that era.
1965 International Acco MK 3 4×4 2.5 Ton GS Cargo Truck
Original Australian Army Registration 171-188 – Retired from military service 20/09/1984
This beauty was initially used as a general service transport vehicle and later converted to a tip truck until sold into civilian use.
This International is a real survivor and, with its standard cargo body reinstated & 10 ton winch, is ready for line duty once again.
